DesignShala 2025 concluded successfully at the Auroville Earth Institute, Pondicherry, bringing together 20+ passionate participants from across the country for a hands-on exploration of sustainable architecture and collaborative learning.

The DesignShala

Experience real-world design and construction challenges through hands-on activities guided by expert designers, engineers, and masons. DesignShala’25 equips participants with creative design skills and various knowledge systems. Organized in two batches of 30 participants, each batch will travel from Chennai to Auroville, Pondicherry, for an interactive workshop.

The Workshop

A four-day workshop is a combination of lectures, hands-on activities, discussions, and group tasks. Participants will explore earth-building and ferrocement techniques through immersive, hands-on learning.
